Ruff 'n' Tumble
Ruff 'n' Tumble is a horizontal platform scrolling shooter game for Commodore Amiga, developed by and published in 1994.
The game invites the player to take role of a character named Ruff Rogers, who accidentaly teleports to an alien planet through a rabbit hole. He has several tools at his disposal, including jumping, shooting various projectiles like bullets, missiles and lasers, and becoming a flame thrower; all with help of different power-ups that can be found and collected in every level.
The goal of the game is to collect marbles that are scattered throughout 4 different worlds of the game. Each one consists of five different levels, the fith one being a boss fight. Each world features a different theme, has its own variety of enemies and traps, and has an industrial-metal soundtrack.
The game also provides the password system for easier access to the later content; although, it only grants access to the first level of the selected world.
This shoot 'em up game was very well received by the critics and claimed a couple of favorable titles from different Amiga magazines that gave it scores of over 92%. However, it was overlooked by the majority of players and did not gain wide popularity. It was never ported to other consoles in direct release.
